Rubber Gloves with a Touch of Style
Just listed these ‘upper crust’ rubber gloves and their handsome metal ‘hand’ stand in my vintage shop – 3rdshelffromthetop
A pair of black rubber gloves embellished with royal red and white, trimmed with gold and a crown. They also come with the wire display ‘hand’ stand because quite honestly, any practical housewife would find these gloves a little bit impractical!
Best to keep them well displayed on a prominent kitchen shelf – creates a talking point!
So, I propose that the embellished rubber gloves and the metal stand, are really a decorative item for your kitchen or drinks bar. Not really too practical but a great gift for friends or relatives who feel that they are a ‘cut above’ washing-up!
Bordeaux – another very popular color in the world of photo frames and mirrors – as well as in the world of wine of course – CHEERS!
Second Varen Collection – Turquoise. Always a very popular color in my etsy shop – mackenzieframes. The moulding I used there is now no longer made, and for some time I have been thinking of an alternative which I thought I would create myself. So here is version one – a 3D embossed look made with some old wooden Indian print blocks I found at a local craft fair a few years ago – I knew they would come in useful at some time!
The good ladies of Varen, Tarn et Garonne, South West France, yet again asked me to contribute to their regular summer exhibition. This year the theme is ‘Ethnic’. OK, it’s just a small local exhibition, but what I love is the demand it makes on me to come up with some new ideas.
So, I have used some of my rubber stamps with an Indian theme. These are in Black and White.
I’ll show you the other colors in a minute!
These original handwritten letters from Marseille, France have been sold to a regular client of mine in Australia, so one last look before they wing their way to the other side of the world!
